Shannon's session will be led by students, Ava, Cora, and Maeli, 8th graders that are dedicated to making the world better. Shannon teaches Math, Science, and History, and works with a faculty that does our best to "keep it real." We believe that ALL children benefit from time in the natural world, and that citizen science is service-learning. Shannon's passion for both has driven her leadership in attaining the U.S. Green Ribbon for Exploris, and in co-coordinating a 10-part series for EdNC on school utility management, “Powered Schools”. She champions Design for Change USA to elevate student projects supporting the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Last spring her Red Wolf Project was featured in PBLWorks' “Remote Learning Webinar Series."
